Nature Photography

There’s something truly grounding about being out in nature with my camera, it’s one of my greatest joys. While city life has its energy, I’ve always been drawn to the stillness and beauty of green spaces, woodlands, and high vantage points. Whether I’m wandering through my local common or exploring further afield in places like New Zealand or the Canadian Rockies, I find endless inspiration in the natural world.
The soft blues, earthy greens, and golden tones of nature often spark ideas for my artwork. These colours not only calm the mind, but also bring a sense of harmony that I love to capture through the lens.
Working at the garden centre over the past two years has given me daily access to vibrant seasonal changes. From blossoming flowers to bees in mid-flight, I’ve had the pleasure of photographing the quiet details that often go unnoticed. I particularly enjoy playing with depth of field, drawing the eye to the subject while letting the background gently blur into softness.
